Inspired by the traditional "Rex" line of instruments offered via mail order catalog in the 1930s, 40s and 50s, the Jim Dandy™ models represent the charm and spirit of these early Gretsch® flat-top guitars with the superior playability and premium tone suggested by their namesake.

The Jim Dandy™ Dreadnought offers a refreshingly comfortable and compact form factor with its specially designed sloped-shoulder body shape and modest 24.75" scale length, without sacrificing the volume, projection and bass response for which dreadnought guitars are so revered.

The X-braced body is crafted from select, lightweight laminate tonewoods that provide an optimal balance of woody vintage tone and reliable durability, while the "C"-shaped neck offers an inviting playing feel for hours of inspiration. Contemporary details like a vintage-style pinned bridge, "G"-graphic pickguard, painted pinstripes, 3 open tuners and oversized dot fretboard inlays add nostalgic personality suitable for any barbecue or jamboree.
