The Gretsch Streamliner Jet in Nightshade Purple is an uncompromising rock'n'roll machine that combines classic Gretsch style with modern power and playability. Equipped with HotWire™ High Output humbuckers, a fast "Fast C" neck profile, Pitch-Perfect™ head angle and a compensated wrap-around bridge, this guitar offers everything you need for fat riffs, brilliant cleans and expressive solos - and all at an amazing price-performance ratio.
With its elegant maple top, mahogany body and stylish details such as the split-V headstock, the Streamliner Jet not only delivers a powerful tone, but also an impressive look with genuine Gretsch flair.
The foundation of the Streamliner Jet is a mahogany body with a carved maple top, which provides warm mids, tight basses and sparkling highs. The body has been ergonomically contoured to provide optimum comfort - especially during long sessions. The aged white bindings on the top skilfully round off the stylish look.
The surface has a durable gloss polyester finish, which gives the Nightshade Purple color a particularly deep and sophisticated look - a real eye-catcher on any stage.
The mahogany neck in the Fast "C" profile was specially developed to enable fast playing and easy grip - ideal for beginners, advanced players or players with smaller hands. The Indian Laurel fingerboard with 12" radius and medium jumbo frets ensures smooth playability, clean bends and precise intonation across the entire fingerboard.
Thanks to the Graph Tech® NuBone™ nut and Pitch-Perfect™ headstock tilt, the guitar stays reliably in tune and offers excellent resonance and sustain.
The two HotWire™ High Output Ceramic Humbuckers combine modern performance with classic character. They deliver powerful cleans just as confidently as massive overdrive sounds - clear, focused and dynamic. The bridge pickup with matched coils offers a powerful attack, while the neck pickup with hybrid coils provides soft warmth and sustain.
The pickups are vacuum-waxed to minimize microphonics and interference - ideal for loud stages, studio applications or effects loops. The system is controlled via a 3-way toggle switch as well as master volume and master tone controls with classic Gretsch® radio knobs.
The Compensated Wrap-Around Bridge ensures reliable intonation, long sustain and easy string placement. Die-Cast Sealed Tuners keep the tuning stable, even with intensive playing. The split-V headstock and zebra pickup cover give the guitar a striking look that combines modern coolness with retro charm.
