Hidersine Uno instruments feature a laminated spruce top and a laminated, graphic flamed soundboard. This is important because the main voice of your instrument is formed by this soundboard, allowing the top to vibrate as a single, cohesive structure and sound accordingly. And as the wood ages and the solid tonewood soundboard gradually relaxes to its natural resting state at the cellular level, it will vibrate even more naturally, and the sound will continue to improve.

Built in the UK and ready to go right out of the box:

Your new Hidersine instrument has already been checked and set up ready to play in our UK service workshops. This means you can buy your new instrument with a clear conscience, take it to lessons and be ready to play straight away. Your Uno violin, viola or cello will come as a complete package, which means it comes with everything you need to get started. The instrument comes in an oblong, shockproof case with internal compartments for accessories and an external music pocket. Most importantly, your Uno violin also comes with an octagonal brazilwood stick bow, without which no sound is possible. Simply tension the steel core strings, apply a little of the included Hidersine rosin, and the bow is ready to play.... just as you will be.

Ebony - Feels good, plays well:

Uno violins benefit from a fingerboard made of genuine ebony. This prized hardwood has been traditionally used for fingerboards for hundreds of years because of its durability. Unlike stained or "ebonized" softwoods often used for student instruments, genuine ebony does not show stains, nicks, or wear when played over an extended period of time. Rather, it remains structurally sound for a very long time and also feels comfortable to the fingers, contributing to an all-around enjoyable playing experience.

An exclusive appearance:

Hidersine Uno instruments not only have a laminated top, but also laminated maple sides and backs. These tonewood parts enhance the natural sound of the instrument. The top produces the main voice of the instrument, while the back and sides provide the character. The maple core is further enhanced by a graphic flaming. This is a special finishing technique that gives the appearance of visually superior flamed maple, giving your Uno instrument the look of a much more exclusive instrument.
