Modern design meets traditional craftsmanship

At the heart of the AZ2204AG is the S-TECH WOOD neck made from roasted maple with an oval C-profile. The thermal treatment ensures extreme stability, resistance to climatic fluctuations and a wonderfully natural playing feel. The S-TECH maple fingerboard, also roasted, with rounded edges and Luminlay Side Dots offers the best orientation - even on dark stages. Thanks to the Super All Access Neck Joint, access to the highest positions is particularly comfortable, ideal for fast solo playing or complex chord changes.

The ash body in an elegant transparent gray burst finish is not only a visual highlight, but also delivers a balanced, resonant tone with a crystal-clear response. The elegant appearance is rounded off by high-quality chrome-look hardware.

Seymour Duncan® Hyperion™ pickups & Dyna-MIX9

The pickup configuration is based on two Seymour Duncan® Hyperion™ single coils in the neck and middle position and a Hyperion™ humbucker on the bridge. This combination offers an enormous tonal range - from warm, transparent cleans to powerful, distorted lead sounds. The medium output ensures a sensitive playing feel with clear definition even in overdrive. With the dyna-MIX9 switching system including Alter Switch, you have nine versatile sound variants at your disposal, including a cleverly simulated humbucker sound from two single coils.

The Gotoh® T1802 tremolo with titanium riders and steel block ensures precise intonation, excellent dynamics and a pleasant playing feel. The setup is complemented by Gotoh® Magnum Lock H.A.P. tuners, which stand for maximum tuning stability and individually adjustable string tension.
