The ergonomically designed alder body ensures a comfortable playing position and delivers a balanced, bright tone with rich resonance. The bolt-on neck, crafted from heat-treated roasted maple, is particularly resistant to humidity and temperature fluctuations—a guarantee of long-lasting stability and a comfortable playing feel. The jatoba fingerboard with a 305 mm radius complements the neck with its warm, clear tone and precise articulation.
With 22 jumbo stainless steel frets, the AZ22S2 offers precise tone response and long-lasting durability, even during intense playing. The Super All Access Neck Joint allows unrestricted access to the highest frets and further enhances playing comfort—perfect for solos and complex chord work.
The pickup configuration combines two Alnico single-coils in the neck and middle positions with a ceramic humbucker at the bridge. This setup delivers a wide range of tones—from crystal-clear cleans to assertive high-gain sounds. Thanks to the dyna-MIX9 circuit with Alter Switch, nine sound variations can be achieved, including a humbucker-like sound from two single-coils.
The T106 tremolo, featuring six individually adjustable saddles, allows for precise intonation and pitch adjustments for each string. Combined with the locking tuners, the tuning remains stable even with frequent use of the tremolo.
