The Ibanez BTB946-COL is an impressive 6-string electric bass from the renowned BTB series. With its 35" extra long scale, high-quality materials and state-of-the-art electronics, this bass offers everything that demanding bassists need. The ergonomic design and full-length neck construction ensure maximum playing comfort, while the powerful electronics provide an enormous variety of sounds.
The BTB946-COL has a solid body made of okoume with an ash middle section and an eye-catching top made of poplar burl. This combination of materials ensures a balanced sound characteristic with rich basses and clearly defined trebles. The continuous neck construction of 5-piece maple/walnut guarantees stability and improves sound transmission.
The rosewood fingerboard is inlaid with abalone dots and offers a smooth, comfortable playing surface. With 24 medium stainless steel frets and the extra long scale (35"), the bass is ideal for technically demanding playing and deep tunings. The Zero Fret ensures an even sound quality across all strings.
The BTB946-COL is equipped with Nordstrand Big Single pickups, which deliver a powerful, detailed sound. The Ibanez Custom 3-band electronics enable precise tone control with controls for volume, blend, bass, mids and treble. The MR5S bridge and Gotoh tuners guarantee excellent intonation, stability and tuning accuracy.
The Cosmic Blue Low Gloss finish gives the bass a modern, stylish look. The matt black hardware complements the design perfectly and underlines the professional look of this instrument.
