The iconically shaped body made of African mahogany is extremely slim and yet remarkably resonant. Despite its low weight, it delivers a powerful response with rich mids and a powerful low-end. The ash top not only gives the instrument an elegant appearance with an expressive grain in a transparent gray burst finish, but also contributes to a clear, defined sound.
The five-piece Super Wizard HP neck made of maple and walnut is one of the central features of this guitar. Thanks to its extremely flat construction with a neck thickness of just 17 mm at the first fret and 19 mm at the twelfth fret, it enables exceptionally fast and effortless playing. The integrated KTS™ titanium truss rods increase stability and ensure precise, even vibration behavior across the entire fretboard.
The bound rosewood fingerboard offers a balanced sound character with warm, focused mids and pleasant treble resolution. In combination with the jumbo frets and the Prestige Fret Edge Treatment, the result is a very smooth playing feel that supports both fast solos and complex chord work. The 648 mm scale length ensures a familiar string tension and precise intonation.
The DiMarzio® Air Norton™ and The Tone Zone® pickups are responsible for the electric sound. This proven duo delivers a powerful, dynamic and assertive performance with a broad frequency spectrum - ideal for modern rock and metal sounds as well as expressive lead passages. The Gibraltar Standard III bridge optimally supports the transmission of vibrations and, thanks to its construction, offers a high level of playing comfort and reliable stability.
