The Ibanez SRMS805L-DTW left-handed electric bass guitar is a real dream for modern bassists who don't want to compromise - especially for left-handers. With its innovative multiscale construction, high-quality tonewoods and versatile electronics, this 5-string electric bass is a powerful tool for demanding musical applications. The elegant finish in "Deep Twilight" and the striking grain of the poplar top also give the bass a classy, individual look.
As part of the popular Soundgear (SR) series from Ibanez, the SRMS805L not only offers modern technology and sound variety, but also excellent playing comfort - ideal for jazz, funk, metal, fusion and everything in between. The clever combination of Bartolini pickups, active 3-band tone control and multiscale scale makes it the ideal companion for professional stage and studio work.
Ibanez is known worldwide for its high-quality instrument manufacturing and its constant innovative spirit. The brand is a leader in the field of modern electric basses in particular - and the SR series has been a byword for ergonomic design and technical sophistication for decades. With the SRMS805L-DTW left-handed electric bass guitar, Ibanez once again demonstrates that left-handers are just as much in focus as right-handers - with a fully-fledged, uncompromisingly equipped bass for the highest demands.
The SR series stands for slim neck profiles, perfectly balanced body contours and electronics that take sound diversity and precision to a new level. The SRMS805L is one of the most modern models in the series - with a multiscale scale and first-class components.
The body of the Ibanez SRMS805L-DTW left-handed electric bass guitar is made of okoume, a resonant yet light tonewood known for its warm mids and clear lows. A top made of burl poplar serves as a visual highlight, giving the instrument a natural, lively appearance. The dark "Deep Twilight" finish underlines the elegant appearance of the bass.
The bolt-on neck consists of five pieces of jatoba and walnut - a combination that ensures high stability and a balanced response. The panga panga fingerboard is not only a visual eye-catcher, but also impresses with its high hardness and direct playing feel. With a radius of 305 mm (12 inches) and 24 medium frets, the bass offers maximum comfort for all playing techniques.
The multiscale scale runs from 864 mm (34 inches) to 902 mm (35.5 inches), resulting in a more even string tension - especially on the low B-string. This design improves intonation, attack behavior and ergonomics when playing. The nut width is 45 mm and offers sufficient space for precise fingering even in technically demanding passages.
In terms of electronics, the SRMS805L-DTW is excellently positioned: Two Bartolini BH2 humbuckers provide a transparent, detailed sound with a powerful bass foundation. The active Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band tone control offers individual control over bass, mids and treble. An EQ bypass switch for passive operation and a 3-way mid-frequency switch are also available - for maximum tonal flexibility.
The MR5S bridge system with its solid construction ensures the best transmission of string vibrations and allows precise adjustment of intonation and string action. The black Ibanez tuners and the D'Addario EXL170-5SL factory strings round off the high-quality overall package.
The Ibanez SRMS805L-DTW left-handed electric bass guitar offers everything a modern, demanding bassist expects - and more. The high-quality choice of materials, the well thought-out ergonomics and the enormous tonal flexibility make this bass a real all-rounder. The multiscale technology opens up new ways in playing comfort and sound variety, while the Bartolini pickups and active electronics allow professional control over the sound.
It is often difficult for left-handers to find an instrument with such advanced features - but Ibanez delivers an uncompromising solution at the highest level with the SRMS805L. Whether on stage, in the studio or at rehearsals - this bass is a reliable partner that impresses both acoustically and visually.
