You’ll get the same hardware, the same audio quality, and all the features of the standard ARC Studio+. These include computer-free one-button calibration, ARC-X multipoint measurement, integrated subwoofer management, and three directly selectable hardware presets.

The IK Multimedia ARC Studio+ Upgrade is suitable for stereo and 2.1 monitoring systems. Since room correction takes place directly in the hardware, the system operates independently of the DAW and operating system used.

For the measurement, a compatible measurement microphone is connected to the designated microphone input. The automatic single-point calibration can then be started using the calibration button.

ARC X multi-point measurement with up to 21 positions

For a more detailed room calibration, the IK Multimedia ARC Studio+ Upgrade supports multi-point measurement with ARC X. You can choose from measurement methods with 1, 3, 7, or 21 measurement positions.

This allows the calibration to be adapted to different requirements. While a single measurement position is intended for quick setup, multipoint measurement allows the acoustic properties to be captured at multiple locations within the listening area.

This feature is particularly useful for permanently set-up studios where the speaker positions and workstation remain unchanged over an extended period.

Integrated Subwoofer Management

The IK Multimedia ARC Studio+ Upgrade features a dedicated subwoofer output and enables the integration of a subwoofer into a 2.1 monitoring system.

The integrated management system supports automatic detection and signal routing, as well as adjustment of phase, level, crossover frequency, and filter slopes. This allows the main speakers and subwoofer to be tuned within a single monitoring configuration.

Tuning the crossover region is particularly important when combining different speakers. The ARC Studio+ provides the necessary functions for this directly within its room correction system.

Three hardware presets and flexible connections

The IK Multimedia ARC Studio+ Upgrade allows you to save three complete monitoring configurations. These can be accessed immediately via three preset buttons on the front panel.

For example, you can prepare different settings for various monitoring configurations. You can then switch between the saved presets directly on the hardware.

For analog connectivity, two balanced combo XLR/TRS inputs and two balanced XLR outputs are available. In addition, ARC Studio+ features a USB-C digital input as well as an optical S/PDIF input and output.

A relay-controlled hard bypass allows you to bypass the correction circuit. This enables you to compare playback with and without active room correction.

32-bit audio conversion and precise signal processing

The IK Multimedia ARC Studio+ Upgrade uses 32-bit audio conversion and supports sample rates up to 192 kHz. The specified dynamic range is 120 dB (A-weighted), while the frequency response ranges from 2 Hz to 87 kHz at -2 dB.

For phase processing, the Natural Phase mode with 1.4 ms latency and the Linear Phase mode with 42 ms latency are available. These different operating modes allow for adaptation to the specific requirements of monitoring.

The newly developed aluminum enclosure has compact dimensions of 19.7 x 12.2 x 4.4 cm and weighs 625 g. This allows the system to be integrated into existing studio setups in a space-saving manner.
