The brand new offset body was designed with the artist in mind. The poplar body with poplar root top and large top horn distributes weight evenly throughout the instrument and provides perfect balance by reducing neck dip for hours of comfortable playing. A bolt-on maple neck with Scarf Joint design provides rock-solid reliability, while the Speed Neck Contour, 12" radius bay fingerboard and 24 jumbo frets ensure lightning-fast playability.

The Spectra Bass JS2P delivers a sound as unique as the bassist who plays it. Whether funk, hard rock or gospel, a huge Jackson J-style bridge pickup and P-style neck pickup deliver a range of punchy growls or clear tones, while the hardtail bridge provides increased stability, improved sustain and fatter timbre.

Tone can be refined and tweaked with blend, bass boost and volume controls (with a push/pull selector switch to bypass or activate the active circuit for bass boost). With the push/pull selector switch, you never have to worry about running out of battery and losing sound. A quick pull of the volume control bypasses the active circuit and makes it easy to restore the sound of the bass without the battery.
