The Rhoads RR24 is a 6-string electric guitar in the classic Rhoads shape with a glued-in neck for optimum resonance transmission and sustain. The body is made of okoume, a light, resonant tonewood with a balanced sound profile that is ideal for distorted sounds. The neck is made in three parts from maple and walnut and is also graphite-reinforced, which gives it high stability and durability - even in extreme temperatures or on tour.
The ebony fingerboard not only offers an elegant look, but also a particularly smooth playing surface for fast, precise playing. The compound radius of 12" to 16" ensures a high level of playing comfort: chords can be played comfortably in the lower registers, while solos in the upper registers can be played effortlessly and without buzzing. Striking Pearloid Sharkfin inlays round off the look in style.
The tone is provided by two absolute metal classics: the Seymour Duncan Distortion SH-6N on the neck and the Seymour Duncan Distortion TB-6 on the bridge. This combination delivers massive output power, punchy mids and aggressive highs - ideal for heavy riffs, precise leads and assertive solos. The pickups can be switched flexibly via a 3-way toggle switch, while volume and tone controls allow for targeted sound shaping.
Another highlight is the Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo system, which guarantees absolute tuning stability even with extreme dive bombs or whammy action. The black hardware underlines the modern, aggressive design of the guitar. The factory-fitted .009 - .042 strings offer a light tension and facilitate fast runs, bends and shred techniques.
The scale length of 25.5 inches (648 mm) is standard in modern guitar making and ensures tight string tension, precise intonation and a direct playing feel. With a weight of around 4 kg (depending on the model) and the slim body, the Rhoads RR24 offers balanced handling even over longer playing times. The scope of delivery includes an Allen key for setup adjustments. This model is manufactured in China to the high standards of the Jackson Pro Plus series.
