Full-length three-piece maple neck construction.

True neck-through-body construction has been a Jackson trademark since 1980 and allows for better playability, a warmer sound spectrum, and better sustain. In this method of guitar construction, three pieces of maple wood used for the neck are run seamlessly through the entire length of the body. Graphite reinforcing rods flanking the truss rod provide even more neck stability, allowing the instrument to withstand the rigors of the road.
