At the heart of this guitar is the three-strip through neck made of maple, walnut and maple - a construction that ensures extremely stable sustain and even resonance across all pitches. The neck flows smoothly into the nyatoh body, a tonewood characterized by balanced mids, powerful lows and a pleasant weight.
The ebony fingerboard ensures a smooth, direct playing feel and a quick response. The compound radius of 304.8 mm to 406.4 mm (12" to 16") enables comfortable chord playing in the lower register as well as fluid, technical soloing in the high register. 24 jumbo stainless steel frets ensure clean intonation, durability and precision - whether in the studio or on stage.
The SLA2 HT is equipped with two Seymour Duncan humbuckers mounted directly in the body - a JB TB-4 on the bridge and a '59 SH-1N on the neck. This direct-mount construction improves the resonance transmission and provides more pressure and clarity.
