The backbone of the SLA2 is the continuous three-strip neck made of maple/walnut/maple. This neck-through construction not only offers extremely long sustain, but also a particularly even vibration behavior across the entire fingerboard. The neck is flanked by a Nyatoh body, which is characterized by a warm, balanced tone with a defined attack. The ergonomically shaped soloist body form and the deep cutaways allow quick, comfortable access up to the 24th fret.
The ebony fingerboard is not only visually elegant, but also impresses with a compound radius of 304.8 mm to 406.4 mm (12" to 16"). As a result, the fingerboard is slightly curved in the lower registers - ideal for chords - and becomes flatter in the higher registers, which supports fast, clean solo playing. The 24 jumbo stainless steel frets are extremely durable and enable clean intonation even when playing aggressively.
The SLA2 Quicksilver is equipped with a Seymour Duncan JB TB-4 humbucker on the bridge and a Seymour Duncan '59 SH-1N humbucker on the neck - a classic combination for flexible sound variety. The JB delivers aggressive, assertive lead sounds with brilliant highs and tight mids. The '59 on the neck impresses with its warm, round sound characteristics - perfect for cleans, blues or soft solo passages.
The 5-way switch and the volume and tone controls provide a wide range of sound options - from rich high-gain riffs to brilliant mid-tones and transparent clean sounds. The electronics are deliberately kept simple so that you can concentrate fully on your playing.
The Floyd Rose 1000 Series Double-Locking Tremolo (Recessed) offers maximum expressive possibilities - divebombs, vibrato, whammy effects - while remaining absolutely tuning-stable. The locking saddle fixes the strings reliably, even under extreme use. The setup is complemented by Jackson DieCast locking tuners, which guarantee fast string changes and precise tuning.
The black hardware provides a striking contrast to the Quicksilver finish and underlines the modern aesthetics of this guitar. The SLA2 is factory-strung with Nickel Plated Steel strings (.009 - .042) - perfect for modern technical playing styles, tapping and bending.
