An elegantly contoured poplar body and pure Jackson neck-through-body construction provide ergonomic comfort for long sets, as well as monstrous sustain and smooth playing all the way to the 24th jumbo fret. Graphite reinforcement rods run through the maple neck to protect it from the elements, while the ultra-fast 12"-16" compound radius fingerboard with bound laurel was designed from the ground up for easy chording and riffing near the nut and fast, fret-out-free leads as you move up the neck.

The SL3X DX is equipped with an exquisite power trio of Jackson High Output Humbucking Bridge and Jackson Double Rail pickups that complement each other with harmonious overtones and highly dynamic response. Five-way pickup switching and individual volume and tone controls let you harness the sonic power of these pickups. The recessed Floyd Rose® Special double-locking tremolo bridge system is easy to use and ensures your axe returns precisely to its original tuning after any dive-bomb or flutter.
