The X Series Soloist™ SLX DX is a venerable double cutaway workhorse that offers many fine features desired by today's shredders. It features a poplar body, a full-length maple neck with graphite reinforcement, and a scarf joint headstock that slopes backward. Featuring 24 jumbo frets, the 12"-16" compound-radius bay fingerboard curves dramatically at the nut for easy chording and flattens toward the neck joint for easy bending without fraying.

Duncan Designed™ Alnico HB-103N neck and HB-103B bridge humbucking pickups with high output power this metal beast with a wide-ranging voice loaded with a crisp, full-bodied tone ideal for brash lead work or punchy rhythm runs. Tone is fully customizable with three-way blade switching and individual volume and tone controls, while the Floyd Rose® Special double-locking tremolo bridge system provides superior string stability and dynamic tremolo action.
