The Kala KA-ZCT-B Ziricote baritone ukulele is a real eye-catcher with a deep sound. It is part of Kala's exclusive Ziricote Series and combines an elegant look with a warm, resonant sound character. The KA-ZCT-B has a baritone body - the largest ukulele body shape - and therefore offers a full, deep sound that is closer to the sound of a guitar than other ukulele types. The top, sides and back are made entirely of ziricote, a tonewood that is valued for its distinctive grain as well as its warm timbre with clear tone separation. The high-gloss lacquer finish accentuates the dark-grained surface and protects the wood at the same time.
The mahogany neck offers stable, pleasant playability and rounds off the sound with its natural warmth. The rosewood fingerboard has 18 neatly set frets, which enable precise intonation. The scale length is 509 mm (20 1/16"), the overall length of the instrument is 768 mm - comfortable for players with slightly larger hands or for anyone switching from guitar to ukulele.
The nut and saddle are made of Graph Tech NuBone - a high-quality composite material that ensures excellent sound transmission and durability. Aquila Super Nylgut strings are pre-strung at the factory and ensure a clear response, stable tuning and a classic ukulele sound with slightly increased sustain.
