This edition contains brilliant examples of the fusion of elements of folklore with classical compositional technique by two Czech masters. The volume contains Bedrich Smetana's "From My Homeland" and "Mazurek" by Antonin Dvorak. Interestingly, these two works were composed in the same year (1879). This publication for violin and piano has been carefully edited by the acclaimed violinist Endre Granat, one of Jascha Heifetz's finest students.
