Korg Monologue in black finish
With fully-programmable analog synthesis, new voicing and powerful features, the 25-key monologue, like its big brother minilogue, embodies a new generation of analog synthesizers.
The monophonic analog synthesizer circuit of the monologue builds on the technique of the minilogue, but is much more than a one-voice copy.The monophone is an analogous beast that derives its powerful force from a newly developed envelope section, complex modulation routing and a filter with powerful low-frequency punch.
The structure consists of 2VCO, 1VCF, 1EG, 1VCA and 1LFO. In addition to minilogue circuits (such as waveform shaping of the oscillator or sync / ring switch), the filter section uses a 2-pole filter to produce aggressive sounds.The newly integrated drive circuit adds overtones and distortions to the sound, which can be used to generate fat basses and sharp leadphrases.The LFO rate can be increased to unprecedented high speeds and build up to cosmic sound jitter, or in the one-shot mode as a kind of additional envelope curve.

Although the monologue emulates the coveted minilogue with a smart layout, clear workflow and high-quality construction, it is an independent synth with unmistakable sound, new voicing and creative sound shaping - and at a bargain price. Filter, Modulation, Drive and LFO have been newly developed and can produce powerful bass and outstanding lead voices or other fantastic monosounds that demonstrate all the strengths of their single voice technology.The step sequencer has also been significantly expanded and can now be edited more intuitively and more complexly. A compact and complex instrument whose strong personality is impressively emphasized by lively color variations.
