The Korg nanoKEY Fold Black is an extremely compact MIDI keyboard that is characterized by its foldable construction. With a weight of only 126 g and folded dimensions of 147 x 73 x 17 mm, it fits in any pocket and is ready to be used anywhere.
The 25 membrane keys allow intuitive playing and offer 13 different velocity values for precise velocity control. Two freely assignable ribbon controllers expand the creative possibilities, as they can be used for continuous controllers (CCs) as well as for playing scales with just one finger. The practical sustain button rounds off the playing experience by making complex chords and harmonic textures possible even without a pedal.
For composers and live performers, the keyboard offers a variety of additional features: an octave shift from -4 to +4 octaves provides an impressive range, while the integrated arpeggiator with 15 rhythm patterns creates inspiring melodies. Thanks to the chord mode, chords can be triggered with just one button - ideal for live arrangements or quick songwriting.
The device supports 15 different scales and uses LEDs to mark the corresponding notes of the selected scale. The easy scale mode makes playing accessible even for beginners. In addition, the split function offers the option of dividing the keyboard into two zones to control different instruments or functions simultaneously.
The connectivity of the Korg nanoKEY Fold Black is excellent. It is plug-and-play and can be connected directly to computers, tablets or smartphones via USB-C without the need for additional drivers. The MIDI output is via a 3.5 mm mini jack, which facilitates integration into existing setups. A type A mini jack DIN adapter is also included in the scope of delivery.
A touch slider for pitch bend and modulation extends the expression options. As the keyboard is bus-powered, it does not require an external power source - the USB connection is sufficient to operate it. This makes the nanoKEY Fold Black not only extremely portable, but also easy to use.
