The Laney Cub-212 100 W 2 x 12" Open-Back Cabinet is a powerful speaker cabinet with a classic vintage character. Featuring two 12-inch Custom HH speakers, 100 watts of power handling, and an open-back design, it delivers a dynamic, spacious sound that’s ideal for guitarists who prefer warm, detailed clean and crunch tones. Thanks to its Vintage Boutique design, the cabinet also makes a stylish visual impression—on stage, in the studio, or at home.
Inside the Cub-212 are two 12-inch HH Custom speakers, which together offer a power handling capacity of up to 100 watts. The combination of speaker size and cabinet design delivers a full sound with clear mids, prominent highs, and controlled bass—ideal for use with tube or solid-state amplifiers in the clean to vintage gain range.
The open back panel gives the sound a natural sense of space and openness that really comes into its own at low to medium volumes. The sound feels less compressed, assertive, and at the same time pleasantly warm—perfect for blues, rock ’n’ roll, jazz, or classic British sounds.
The speaker features two 1/4"-jacks, which serve as Input and Link. This allows the Cub-212 to be connected directly to an amplifier or combined with other speaker cabinets as part of a larger setup. The 8-ohm impedance makes it compatible with many standard head amplifiers.
With a height of 430 mm, width of 700 mm, and depth of 230 mm, the Cub-212 offers a balanced size that strikes a good balance between sound volume and portability. Weighing 13.8 kg, it’s easy to transport—whether to the rehearsal room, on stage, or to the studio. Its solid construction ensures durability even during mobile use.
