The LD Systems MAUI 11 G3 SUB active 2x8" subwoofer was specifically designed to complement the MAUI 11 G3 column system and delivers significantly more power, precision, and flexibility in the low-frequency range—whether for DJs, musicians, performers, or AV presentations.
With its cardioid function, the subwoofer opens up entirely new possibilities for bass control: Reduce unwanted rearward bass dispersion and focus the energy directly on the audience—for greater clarity on stage and less feedback. Whether as an additional subwoofer for extended low-end response or for precise low-end control—this compact powerhouse is a real asset to your setup.
The MAUI 11 G3 SUB is visually and technically tailored precisely to the MAUI 11 G3 system. Thanks to automatic detection, setup is intuitive: as soon as no column is attached, the subwoofer switches to FOLLOWER mode and automatically complements your existing system—without any additional configuration.
The SysLink® feature allows multiple systems to be easily connected, while the cardioid preset is activated via a simple switch. This allows the SUB to be used either for pressure boost or for targeted bass control—depending on your needs and the system’s orientation.
Inside the LD Systems MAUI 11 G3 SUB, two specially developed 8" woofers operate in an aerodynamically optimized bass-reflex enclosure. The result: distortion-free sound with deep, clearly defined bass down to 39 Hz. The integrated Class-D amplifier delivers 730 watts RMS (1,460 watts peak) and ensures high efficiency combined with low weight.
The patented DynX® DSP technology (Generation 2) guarantees clean, dynamic sound even at high volumes—without audible distortion or power drops. With a maximum sound pressure level of 125 dB (peak), the SUB is also ideally equipped for demanding applications.
The cabinet, made of sturdy birch multiplex, features a durable polyurea coating—ideal for the rigors of daily stage use. A shock-resistant front grille reliably protects the speaker components from external influences. Two ergonomic handles make handling during transport and setup easier.
For optimal protection and easy mobility, matching protective covers and rolling boards are available separately—a useful addition if you’re regularly on the road performing live.
