L.R. Baggs Lyric Microphone Set
To get one thing straight: the LYRIC is not a pickup, but a boundary microphone, which reminds at first sight of the already known L.R. BAGGS Anthem. The design is exactly the same, but the capsule has been changed.
L.R. BAGGS has managed to make the miking of an acoustic guitar more or less suitable for live playing.
This is achieved by the microphone, which captures the sound of the body like a boundary layer without generating feedback or hum signals, which is a problem especially with the basses. The preamp consists of a complex circuit of EQs and compressors, which gets the corresponding critical frequency ranges excellently under control.
The highlight is that you can move freely while playing, since the microphone is permanently installed. The Lyric sounds extremely plastic and has the character of a high-quality microphone in front of the guitar. Just a typical L.R. BAGGS product.
