With the ACADEMIA, Manuel Rodríguez presents the first series with an original Spanish neck joint, the pinnacle of guitar making.

In this special construction, the neck, which is made from a single piece, extends into the body and is directly connected to the sides, back and top. This not only ensures enormous stability, but also optimum vibration transmission, a faster response and longer sustain.

The difference between the four versions of the ACADEMIA series, all in 4/4 size, lies in the beautiful ornamentation and materials of the top and sides. Here it is a question of seeing, hearing and experiencing what you like better. All ACADEMIA instruments are handmade in Europe and have additional features that are quite special in this moderate price range. These include the mahogany neck with Ovangkol fingerboard, the saddle and bridge inlay handmade from oiled vintage bone and the water-based eco high-gloss varnish. A special feature of all Manuel Rodríguez 4/4 guitars is the GEWA armrest, which offers two decisive advantages: Firstly, its rounded shape makes for a particularly comfortable playing feel, and secondly, it allows the top to vibrate freely over the entire surface, as it prevents damping caused by resting the right arm on it.

The Hannabach 815HTC strings, which are made in Germany, are wound at the factory and perfectly round off the tonal quality of this series.
