The MO-2 is a compact studio monitor from our MO series. It is designed for use in near and middle field as well as in OB vans. For 5-channel applications we recommend the addition of one of our active basses (BASIS 1-4 ). By using active coaxial 2-way technology, we ensure sound compatibility with our directional loudspeakers. Furthermore we achieve a high naturalness and homogeneity of the sound event to be radiated by this constructive measure. The MO2 also fits seamlessly with all loudspeakers of the RL and MO series in terms of locating sharpness and smallest possible phantom source imaging. The bundling dimension was designed in such a way that operation up to a minimum base width of 1.5 m is possible.
The loudspeaker is equipped with a 160 mm cone woofer and a coaxially arranged 25 mm dome tweeter, which are controlled by separate MOSFET amplifiers with active crossover and electronic overload protection in the rear part of the cabinet. The MO-2 has a balanced XLR input with adjustable sensitivity. To adjust the position of the frequency response, the low and high frequency response and the 300 Hz range can be corrected using the controls on the rear panel. A two-colour LED is used to indicate operation and warns of overloading. The speaker's magnetic stray field is minimized.
The cabinet is made of MDF with real wood veneer. Various special tripods and brackets are available as accessories, the corresponding fastening elements are integrated in the loudspeaker cabinet.
