RL 903K

The RL 903K is a universally applicable main control room loudspeaker with a cardioid dispersion pattern in the range from 35 Hz to 100 Hz. Main application areas are sound, video and film studios. The cardioid dispersion pattern minimizes reflections from the wall behind the speaker. The coaxial mid-high system is combined with a powerful long-throw chassis. The coaxial design is the reason for the excellent localization behavior and the optimal phantom source imaging. Various design measures have also created a loudspeaker with particularly low non-linear distortion. A special geometric arrangement of the mid-high unit and the relatively small, asymmetrically designed front keep short-term reflections and thus sound coloration at the lowest possible level. Despite compact cabinet dimensions, a lower cutoff frequency of 35 Hz was achieved.

The three-channel power amplifier of the RL 903K is integrated together with the electronic crossover in the rear of the housing and can be swung out during operation for service purposes. When a signal path is overloaded, an intermittently lit LED signals that the level limit has been reached. If the maximum level is exceeded, the level of the mid-high unit is reduced by 20 dB to protect the components from overload.

The mid-high unit can optionally be supplied rotated by 90 degrees to allow both standing and lying use of the loudspeaker. The treble and bass frequency response can be corrected to match the acoustic conditions in the listening room.

Various special stands and brackets are available as accessories; corresponding mounting elements are integrated into the loudspeaker housing.
