The MEINL Sonic Energy 12" Wind Gong Kun is a high-quality sound instrument that is traditionally handcrafted in China from a special bronze alloy. As a so-called wind gong - also known as a feng or sun gong - this model is characterized by its almost flat shape, which enables an exceptionally broad sound development with a long reverberation. The gong develops a warm, deep basic tone, especially when struck gently. When played more forcefully, it produces shimmering, wave-like overtones that fill rooms with a powerful but harmonious vibration.
With a diameter of 12 inches (30 cm), the gong is compact enough for mobile use and at the same time has a full sound presence.
