MEINL Sonic Energy 12" Wind Gong Yin & Yang Product Details

Description

MEINL Sonic Energy 12" Wind Gong Yin & Yang – Balanced Sound and Symbolic Unity in a Compact Format

The MEINL Sonic Energy 12" Wind Gong Yin & Yang is a harmoniously resonant musical instrument that combines acoustic power and philosophical depth in a compact format. Handcrafted in China using traditional methods from a specially tuned bronze alloy, this gong offers a broad sound spectrum with deep fundamental frequencies and delicately resonant overtones. Its nearly flat shape—typical of Feng or sun gongs—enables an intense, long-lasting resonance, making the gong an effective companion for meditation, yoga, sound baths, or mindfulness practice.

With a diameter of 12 inches (30 cm), this wind gong is particularly easy to handle and versatile—whether in the studio, on the go, or in your personal meditation space. Included in the package are a traditional mallet, tailored to the size and weight of the gong, as well as a gong cover for safe transport and protected storage.

Yin & Yang – The Sonic Balance of Opposites

At the center of the gong is the Yin & Yang symbol, which represents the harmony of opposites. Yin embodies the calm, receptive, and feminine, while Yang stands for activity, energy, and the masculine. Both forces complement each other and together form the balance of the universe. This symbolic unity is directly reflected in the sound: the deep, soothing tones (Yin) and the vibrating, invigorating overtones (Yang) merge into a harmonious, holistic sonic experience.

The MEINL Sonic Energy Wind Gong Yin & Yang is thus not only a musical instrument but also an expression of balance and awareness—ideal for energetic centering, inner alignment, and spiritual sound work.

Tradition and sound quality in harmony

Every gong in the MEINL Sonic Energy series is crafted by experienced artisans in China. The bronze alloy used ensures excellent resonance and a complex overtone structure. Even in its compact 12-inch version, this gong impresses with its warm, resonant sound and versatile applications.

Thanks to its size, the gong is particularly easy to transport and can be used flexibly in various settings—whether in group meditations, during sound massages, in a yoga studio, or as a personal ritual instrument. The included case protects the gong from scratches and damage and ensures safe storage.

A compact sound instrument with symbolic power

The MEINL Sonic Energy 12" Wind Gong Yin & Yang is a compact yet powerful sound instrument for anyone who wishes to combine sound, harmony, and meaning. Its fine craftsmanship, spiritual symbolism, and distinctive sound make it a valuable companion for energy work, meditation, or mindful music-making.
