The MEINL Sonic Energy Gong Mallet Large has been specially developed to provide gong players with optimum sound control and an impressive range of timbres. Whether for sound baths, meditations, rituals or live performances - this mallet brings out the full acoustic potential of your gong.
With a weight of approx. 350 g, this gong mallet is ideal for gongs up to 40" (102 cm) in diameter. Its precisely balanced head ensures a full, warm basic tone and at the same time opens up a wide spectrum of overtone vibrations - perfect for dynamic and multi-faceted playing.
The handle made of high-quality sapele wood is comfortable to hold and has been designed so that even longer playing phases are possible. The smooth, natural surface offers good control over the attack, while the length of 41 cm (16.14") supports a balanced playing technique - both sitting and standing.
The branded MEINL logo gives the mallet an elegant look and at the same time stands for tested quality and professional workmanship.
When designing the mallet head, great importance was attached to the best possible resonance. The soft but assertive head produces gentle transient phases and yet allows powerful accents - depending on the playing style and desired intensity.
