Description

MEINL Sonic Energy Wind Gong Yin & Yang 22" – Deep Vibrations in the Spirit of Harmony

The MEINL Sonic Energy Wind Gong Yin & Yang 22" is an impressive musical instrument for meditative, therapeutic, and spiritual uses. Handcrafted traditionally in China, this gong is made from a specially tuned bronze alloy prized for its powerful resonance and long-lasting vibration. Its nearly flat design—typical of Feng or Sun gongs—ensures a wide sound dispersion with a deep fundamental tone and complex overtones.

Even with a gentle strike, the gong unfolds its characteristically deep tones. When played more vigorously, a vibrant spectrum of overtones develops with wave-like sound movements that set both the body and the space in vibration. With a diameter of 22 inches (55.88 cm), this instrument delivers an intense richness of sound and is ideal for large spaces, group meditations, and sound ceremonies. The set includes a specially tuned mallet and a protective gong cover—for safe storage and convenient transport.

Yin & Yang—Symbol of Unity in Opposites

At the center of the gong is the iconic Yin-and-Yang symbol, which stands for the harmony of opposites. Yin represents the still, soft, and feminine; Yang represents the active, powerful, and masculine. Both forces are interdependent—their balance gives rise to wholeness. This philosophy is palpable in the gong’s sound: deep, calm fundamental frequencies blend with vibrant overtones to create a harmonious soundscape that invites energetic alignment and inner balance.

The MEINL Sonic Energy Wind Gong Yin & Yang 22" is ideal for mindfulness practice, sound healing, yoga, sound baths, space clearing, or energetic rituals. Its acoustic effect is enhanced by its visual symbolism, making it a central element of any conscious sound practice.

Traditional Craftsmanship – Sound in Perfection

Each gong is meticulously handcrafted by experienced gong smiths. The bronze alloy used ensures a powerful resonance, a harmonious tone, and a long-lasting sustain. The 22-inch diameter delivers an outstanding combination of tonal depth, dynamics, and presence—perfect for professional users and discerning sound enthusiasts.

The included mallet has been precisely matched to the gong’s weight and material, allowing for both gentle and powerful strikes. The high-quality gong case reliably protects the instrument during transport and storage—ideal for portable use in therapeutic or spiritual settings.
