Description

The MOTU 828es is equipped with the award-winning quality and functionality of its predecessor 828x and combines it with the MOTU AVB network technology. New features are the high-resolution dual colour display, the built-in talkback microphone and button directly on the front panel and the quick switch function for comparison listening for two speaker pairs. The rugged case conceals the renowned ESS Sabre32 DAC chipset and the best converters an 828 has ever had. The 828 ES can be connected to a Mac or PC via Thunderbolt, Hi-Speed USB 2.0 or AVB / TSN Ethernet or via an adapter to iOS devices such as an iPad, and is equally suitable for studio and stage use. As an interface or standalone mixer, the 828es offers 28 separate inputs and 32 separate outputs, including two XLR/TRS "combo" microphone inputs, dedicated main outputs with XLR jacks, and two independent headphone outputs on the front panel. In addition, there are of course all MOTU AVB-typical functions, such as the integrated 32-bit floating point DSP for mixing and effects, control via the mobile web app and the flexible matrix for splitting and routing.
