The Nektar Impact GX49 from the Nektar Impact GX series shines alongside the pleasantly playable velocity-sensitive keyboard, the pitch and modulation wheel, as well as the backlit octave and transpose buttons with additional control elements such as an assignable rotary potentiometer and 7 programmable MIDI/MMC transport buttons, to each of which 2 functions can be freely assigned with the help of an additional SHIFT button. The Impact GX keyboards are impressive across the board and leave the competition in this price range far behind. However, what makes the Impact GX keyboards completely unrivalled in this price range is the direct, in-depth connection to all common DAW programs, which has been adopted from the Nektar Panorama series. Cubase, Nuendo, Logic, Reason, Bitwig, Studio One, Cakewalk Sonar, Digital Perfomer, Fruity Loops, Garageband and Reaper are all supported.With a simple press of a button, you have direct access to the mixer of the connected DAW, including track select and volume control via the Impact GX's central knob. Patches of any software instrument can also be selected directly from the keyboard, which ensures a significantly optimized workflow and in most cases makes reaching for the mouse superfluous.
