Are you looking for a versatile stage keyboard that not only impresses with excellent piano and organ sounds, but also with creative synthesizer features? Are you looking for an instrument that supports your live performance just as professionally as your studio work - with reliable technology, intuitive operation and uncompromising sound quality? Then the Nord Electro 7 73 stage keyboard with organ & piano sounds is the perfect choice for you.
This model from Nord is more than just a stage piano. It is a powerful all-in-one keyboard equipped with a 73-key keyboard, innovative operating concept and high-quality sound design. Whether jazz, gospel, rock, pop or electronic music - the Electro 7 73 adapts flexibly to your musical requirements and delivers the typical Nord sound: warm, assertive and absolutely full of character.
Behind the Nord Electro 7 73 is the Swedish manufacturer Clavia DMI AB, known for its red high-end keyboards, which have been at home on stages around the world for decades. Nord instruments stand for sophisticated design, high reliability and excellent sound libraries, which are regularly expanded and updated.
With the Electro series, Nord is specifically targeting stage musicians and music makers who are looking for a compact, yet comprehensively equipped keyboard with a focus on authenticity. The seventh generation of the Electro series sets new standards - with improved operation, new effects, extended sound design and flexible control options.
The Nord Electro 7 73 stage keyboard with organ & piano sounds is equipped with numerous features that have been optimized for live use as well as for creative work in the studio. Let's take a detailed look at the most important technical features.
At the heart of the Electro 7 73 is the Nord Organ 3 Engine, which offers realistic emulations of the legendary B3 Hammond, Farfisa, Vox Continental and pipe organs. New: Soft B3 and B3+Bass variants as well as a revised percussion section. The physical drawbars with LED display give the player visual feedback and real control - a must-have for traditional organists.
The integrated rotary speaker emulation offers three selectable microphone positions (narrow, wide, XY) and a tube drive control for authentic Leslie simulations. The holder for a half-moon switch is also available and significantly expands the control options when playing the organ.
The piano sounds also set new standards: The 120-voice polyphony ensures smooth playing without abrupt sound interruptions. The selection ranges from grand and upright pianos to electric pianos and digital and layered sounds. There are also clavinets, harpsichords and percussion instruments such as vibraphone or marimba.
The dynamic compression compensates for level fluctuations without distorting the sound character. The timbre options allow you to fine-tune the sound, while the unison effect gives the piano more depth and presence. The Nord Sound Manager allows you to manage and organize additional piano sounds.
The synth section is versatile and powerful: In addition to sample-based sound generation, it also supports analog waveforms and FM synthesis. Custom samples can be loaded and managed via the Nord Sound Manager, making the Electro 7 73 an extremely customizable tool for creative sound experiments.
Filters, envelopes, unison, glide, mono/legato modes and an adjustable vibrato provide plenty of scope for sound design. Particularly practical: the dual envelope (amp & filter/FM) and separate controls for velocity and modulation level allow precise control in real time.
Nord wouldn't be Nord if it didn't also shine in the effects section. The Electro 7 73 offers specialized effects per section - organ, piano and synth can each be individually equipped with modulation, amp simulation and reverb. The modulation effects range from classic phaser, flanger and chorus to vibe, wah and ring modulation.
The new spring reverb, various reverb types including cathedral and stage as well as the option to individually control the reverb amount per layer considerably expand the sonic dimension. An integrated compressor and a delay with ping-pong, filter and analog options are also included.
The new large color display makes it much easier to navigate through menus, sound categories and programs. Push encoders provide quick access to sound selection and parameters. Maximum flexibility is guaranteed with 20 banks of 25 memory locations (500 presets in total) and a practical live mode with five storable scenes.
The 73 semi-weighted Waterfall keys are ideal for players who need both an organistic feel and precise piano dynamics. This keyboard offers the perfect compromise between light touch and expressiveness - ideal for solos, chord work and fast playing.
Whether you're a live keyboardist playing on multiple levels, a studio musician looking for a flexible sound module or a church musician in need of an instrument that combines organ, piano and synthesizer in one device, the Nord Electro 7 73 stage keyboard delivers.
The combination of professional sound, innovative operation and robust construction makes it the first choice for demanding musicians. In particular, the larger 73-key layout offers more scope for two-handed playing without compromise - ideal for complex arrangements or playing multiple layers simultaneously.
