Building on the innovative foundations of Peak, Novation Summit is a 16-part synthesizer with three oscillators per voice designed for professional and semi-professional musicians looking for an inspiring and powerful instrument for live and studio use. In fact, Summit even gives you the power of two peaks, because you can split two completely independent patches across the keyboard or arrange them in layers to switch back and forth between them in a jiffy. In addition, the Peak layout has been extended so that many "hidden" controls and functions are directly accessible from the front panel - FM routing, LFOs 3 and 4, all arpeggiator parameters and much more - and of course the pitch and mod wheels. Summit also features numerous new filter options and an audio input for processing external sources with reverb, chorus and delay effects.

At the heart of the Novation Summit are three New Oxford digital oscillators per voice based on the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) chip. In addition, the synthesizer produces authentic analog-style waveforms with incredibly high resolution, which facilitates FM and wavetable synthesis and enables rich, complex and highly textured raw sounds. Each voice plays on a true stereo signal path of doubled analog filters, three analog distortion levels, and analog VCAs, while you can polish up and bring to life your patches with a variety of modulation assignment options and three versatile effects.
