The Palmer AoC Loom XLRf provides you with a highly flexible and professional solution for transporting audio signals via a single network cable. The compact adapter cable from the renowned Palmer series enables the simultaneous transmission of up to four analog balanced or eight digital AES3 audio signals - perfect for live events, studios, broadcasts or fixed installations.
Thanks to the etherCON connection (RJ45) on four XLR 3-pin female plugs, the adapter cable can be connected to standard Cat5e or higher-quality Ethernet cables. This makes the Palmer AoC Loom XLRf a space-saving, cost-efficient and stable alternative to classic 4-channel multicores - and fully compliant with the AES72 Type 5E wiring standard.
The AoC Loom XLRf transmits four balanced audio signals or eight digital AES3 signals over a single Ethernet cable. In addition, the system is compatible with 48V phantom power so that condenser microphones and active DI boxes can also be supplied without any problems. The etherCON connection offers a stable connection without accidental disconnection thanks to its locking mechanism - ideal for hectic live operations.
The four XLR outputs are numbered and color-coded (red, green, blue, white) for quick signal assignment and reliable channel routing. This enables quick setup even with complex cabling or under time pressure.
The adapter housing is made from a combination of aluminum and steel, making the Palmer AoC Loom XLRf both lightweight and extremely robust. The cables are protected with a durable mesh braid and, with a split length of 0.5 m, are flexible enough for convenient connection to stage boxes, consoles or interfaces.
The Neutrik connectors used are of the highest quality and guarantee reliable performance over many years - even with daily use on tour or at events. Sophisticatedly designed and developed with a focus on practicality, this adapter cable meets the highest demands in professional use.
With a frequency range of 0 Hz - 20 kHz, a maximum input level of +32 dBu and a THD of less than 0.0005 % at 1 kHz, the AoC Loom XLRf offers first-class technical values. This makes it ideal for high-quality audio transmissions - whether for concert recordings, studio setups or AV installations.
The AES72 pin assignment (type 5E) ensures maximum compatibility with other AoC systems and products from various manufacturers. The consistent colour and channel assignment (channel 1 = red, channel 2 = green, channel 3 = blue, channel 4 = white) is standardized and therefore ideal for recurring setups.
The Palmer AoC Loom XLRf is the perfect solution for modern signal routing via network cables. Whether in the studio, on stage or for AV productions - this adapter offers maximum flexibility, easy handling and professional audio quality. Developed and manufactured to the highest standards, it offers a durable, robust and future-proof alternative to the classic multicore.
