The Peavey Dec ade Too Preamp Pedal brings back the unmistakable sound of the legendary Peavey Decade amp from the early 1980s - now in a pedalboard-friendly format. The characteristic, rich overdrive, made famous by artists such as Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), has been faithfully recreated and combined with modern technology. Thanks to the two gain stages, a switchable saturation channel and a flexible 3-band EQ, the iconic Decade sound can now be easily integrated into any setup - whether in the studio, on stage or in the rehearsal room.
Peavey is a long-established US manufacturer that has been supplying musicians worldwide with innovative amplifiers, effects units and professional audio technology for decades. With the Decade Too preamp pedal, Peavey once again demonstrates its ability to reinterpret classics from its own company history in a modern form while retaining their authentic character.
The pedal is based on a faithful reproduction of the 1980s Decade circuit and offers two gain stages: pre-gain and post-gain. A second, more distorted channel can be activated via the switchable saturation channel, which provides aggressive, organic overdrive with a fuzz-like character. An internal voltage boost to 24 volts provides maximum headroom so that the sound always remains dynamic and defined.
The integrated 3-band EQ (low, mid, high) allows the sound to be precisely adjusted. The pedal is equipped with a hard bypass and an anti-click circuit for silent switching. The line-level output allows direct connection to audio interfaces or PA systems, which also makes it attractive for recording setups. Operation is possible with either a 9V battery or a corresponding power supply unit (not included). The robust die-cast housing ensures long durability in daily use.
The Peavey Decade Too preamp pedal is ideal for guitarists who want to authentically integrate the legendary Decade sound into their modern setup. With its combination of classic circuitry, flexible sound shaping and high output power, it is equally suitable for live performances, studio recordings and rehearsals. Anyone looking for a rich, dynamic overdrive with vintage flair will find a compact and reliable tool here.
