The PLX-500 is equipped with a powerful servo direct drive. A brushless 3-phase DC motor ensures reliable and smooth rotation at either 33 1/3, 45 or 78 revolutions per minute. The starting time is less than one second and is supported by a torque of at least 1.6 kgf-cm. The stable die-cast aluminum platter with a diameter of 332 mm provides a solid foundation for precise placement and listening to music. The electronic brake enables a safe and quick stop when it counts.
The universal S-shaped tonearm in static balance design works with a high-quality cardan bearing. With an effective length of 230.5 mm and adjustable stylus pressure from 0 to 4 g, it offers precise tracking and minimizes distortion. The tonearm height can be adjusted by up to 6 mm so that the setup can be optimally adapted to different cartridges. The supplied headshell is equipped with a VM-type system (moving magnet) and weighs 10 g. The tracking accuracy is less than 3 degrees - a solid basis for any type of vinyl playback.
The integrated USB interface is particularly practical, allowing the PLX-500 to be connected directly to a computer. In combination with the free rekordbox software, high-quality digital recordings of your vinyl records can be created in just a few steps. This makes the turntable ideal for archiving vinyl or integrating analog sounds into modern digital DJ setups. The USB type B connection on the back ensures stable data transfer - without additional interfaces or adapters.
Everything you need for immediate operation is included with the PLX-500. In addition to the turntable itself, it includes a slipmat, a dust cover, an EP puck adapter, the headshell with cartridge system, a counterweight, the shell weight and all the necessary cables - including a USB cable and a stereo adapter cable for connecting to various systems. This means that the PLX-500 is ready for immediate use, whether in a DJ setup or for hi-fi use.
