Proel Sound Systems WD15AV2 Aktiver 2-Wege-Koaxial-Bühnenmonitor Product Details

Description

Proel Sound Systems WD15AV2 Active 2-way coaxial stage monitor - Powerful sound for large stages

The Proel WD15AV2 is the most powerful model in Proel's popular WEDGE series - designed for demanding stage environments where powerful low frequencies and high speech intelligibility are essential. With its sophisticated design, robust construction and updated electronics, this active 2-way coaxial monitor sets new standards in professional monitoring.

Equipped with a 15-inch woofer and a horn-loaded 1" compression driver, the WD15AV2 delivers a full, deep and powerful sound reproduction that is specially tailored to bassists, drummers or DJs. But it also impresses as a FOH speaker with its dynamics and sound quality - supported by the two selectable EQ presets for MONITOR or FOH use.

Powerful components, precise sound reproduction

At the heart of the WD15AV2 is an efficient 15" woofer with a 3" voice coil, complemented by a high-resolution 1" compression driver with a 1.35" VC. The coaxial design ensures perfect phasing and precise dispersion - ideal for clear monitoring directly in front of the artist.

The horn ensures a controlled directivity with a 60° dispersion angle, keeping the sound exactly where it belongs: on stage. The frequency response from 45 Hz to 20 kHz covers the entire sound spectrum - with up to 126 dB SPL (peak), this monitor offers sufficient headroom even for loud stage environments.

Optimized amplifier technology & protection functions

The integrated bi-amp power amplifier delivers 400 W Class D power in the bass range and 50 W Class AB for the treble range. This results in 450 W continuous power (900 W peak) - efficient, low-noise and absolutely suitable for the stage.

The built-in SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply) reduces weight and increases efficiency, while a dual limiter circuit guarantees reliable protection against overload and clipping - even at extreme levels.

Monitoring or front - two EQ presets for maximum flexibility

Two EQ presets can be selected with a simple switch:

This function makes the WD15AV2 not only an outstanding stage monitor, but also a versatile speaker for small FOH setups, sidefills or delay lines.

Stable, practical, suitable for the stage

The housing is made of sturdy plywood, coated with scratch-resistant black polyurethane paint - designed for the rigors of touring. Two recessed carrying handles and a compact format make transportation easy. The recessed connection panel on the rear provides protection for the sockets and controls, while an M20 stand mount on the side also allows operation on a speaker stand.

Conclusion: The Proel WD15AV2 - monitoring at the top level

The Proel WD15AV2 active coaxial monitor is the ideal choice for musicians and technicians looking for an assertive, low-frequency and flexible monitoring solution. Its powerful performance, precise dispersion and robust construction make it ideal for both large stages and demanding studio situations.

Whether as a monitor for bass, drums, keys or as a compact PA solution - the WD15AV2 impresses with its professional performance, clever design and exceptional sound quality.
