With the Rane Seventy-Two, RANE's development department from Seattle presents a battle mixer with unmatched performance and innovation. Rane Seventy-Two is a 2-channel digital mixer for scratch DJs and comes with a full version Serato DJ with DVS expansion and performance vinyls. RANE developed this "battle-ready" flagship in cooperation with internationally renowned DJs and their crews to meet the high expectations of the company. Seventy-Two combines highest processing and audio quality in a tour-suited steel construction. The Rane Seventy-Two features the best components of the award-winning Sixty-Two and MP2015 mixing consoles to underline its claim to the highest audio quality.
Seventy-Two is the first mixer to feature Rane's new Mag Three fader, an evolution of the legendary magnetic fader design. The new Mag Three Fader is a unique non-contact fader that works with magnetic field voltages unlike conventional faders. Both crossfaders and both line faders are equipped with the new Mag Three fader.
Customize the behavior of your faders for perfect scratching. All faders can be ultra-flexibly adjusted and programmed independently of each other. An adjustable resistance, curve steepness, reverse, channel swap and cut-in lag ensure perfect haptics and precision.
The Rane Seventy-Two supports your workflow with a comfortable operating concept and state-of-the-art technology. With a high-resolution 4.3 inch display, Seventy-Two shows you all the important information from Serato DJ you need for your performance at any time: The concurrent waveform including beat grids, cue and time information, the overview waveform with all cue points as well as the current tempo, key and DVS mode.
With the integrated Multi-Touch technology of the Seventy-Two display you can easily select your songs from your playlists or crates, for both connected computers. From now on, you control the effects not only with knobs, but also with the integrated X/Y effect pad. Simply select one of the four effect slots and manipulate two parameters for creative effects and transitions. Seventy-Two offers you an extensive fine-tuning of your effects (both Serato DJ effects and internal Flex FX effects), as it is otherwise only possible with studio effects or software.
Thanks to the flexible graphical user interface, the mixer can also be programmed as individually as it would not be possible with a conventional user interface. Later firmware updates add new functions to the Seventy-Two and improve existing ones.
Rane Seventy-Two offers two independent Flex FX hardware effect units with filter, flanger, echo, reverb, vinyl brake, backspin and gate, which can be seamlessly combined with the software effects of Serato DJ. The Serato DJ effects are also conveniently controlled from the mixing console. Up to four effects (three Flex FX effects and a Serato DJ effect) can be superimposed simultaneously to create new, unique sounds. All effects work beatsynchronously either via the BPM specified by Serato DJ or via internal detection of analog material.
Also on board are RANE's legendary 3-band EQ with Accelerated-RANE‘s Full-Cut, as they are already known from the Sixty-Two. Both channels have a dedicated HP/LP filter in addition to the Flex FX filter. A programmable foot pedal connector allows additional effect control when you don't have a free hand.
16 RGB-backlit Akai Professional Performance Pads in MPC style offer you access to numerous popular Serato DJ functions like 8 hot cues per deck, pitch play, automatic and manual loop, roll, sampler and slicer. In another mode, the pads are used for complete transport control.
The touch screen allows you to comfortably program 5 banks of pads for your performance. Whether for your special effect performance with Serato DJ or for controlling videos, Seventy-Two gives you a whole world of new possibilities.
Two Hi-Speed USB 2.0 ports allow the Rane Seventy-Two to be connected to two computers in parallel, allowing you to seamlessly switch between two DJs. Channel selection allows you to switch between USB A, Phono/CD, Aux and USB B. The two high-quality Neutrik jack/XLR combo microphone inputs offer volume and sound control as well as echo (microphone 1) and a ducking function.
Unlike other consoles, you have two stereo RCA pairs for each input. One pair for phono or line signals (switch on the rear panel) including ground connection and an additional line level input pair. This allows you to connect 2 turntables and 2 CD players or 4 media players simultaneously. Of course Seventy-Two has balanced outputs and session inputs and outputs for looping through to another mixer, for recording your sets or as a third auxiliary channel. On the back are two USB ports for connecting controllers such as the high-torque turntable single-deck controller Twelve from Rane DJ.
