This portable high-end interface is milled with highest precision from an aluminum block and received newly developed analog and digital circuits. Thanks to innovative power-saving technology, it offers outstanding sound quality without compromising level, signal-to-noise ratio or distortion values.

Latest generation AD/DA converters with lowest latencies, and RME's unique SteadyClock FS technology result in exceptional specifications that will satisfy even the most demanding professional. The combination of a multitude of features, excellent sound and intuitive operation, whether in the studio or on the road, makes the Babyface Pro the most versatile and comprehensive compact audio interface ever built. RME interfaces are designed to preserve music as it is. Signals are recorded in their entirety, without leaving anything out or adding anything in. For the new Babyface Pro the audio circuits have been further improved to achieve high pre-amplification with the best possible dynamics. The user interface is clearly structured and informative, every feature and setting option is intuitive and easy to reach. Even in standalone mode, inputs can be routed and mixed to outputs directly on the unit, opening up a whole range of possible applications.

Features:

• The +19 / +4 dBu switch on the bottom provides a direct way to reduce the output level, improving SNR for sensitive powered monitors, avoiding distortion / overloads, and helping to keep the TotalMix FX fader at 0 dB instead of high attenuations.
• Output power of the 3.5mm TRS headphone outputs increases from 70mW to 90mW. THD of both headphone outputs improves by up to 10 dB. Now uses the same operational amplifiers as the ADI-2 Pro. Output impedance of 3.5mm TRS has been lowered from 2 ohms to 0.1 ohms.
• Microphone inputs SNR improved from 112.2 dB to 113.7 dB, TRS line inputs SNR improved from 114 dB to 116.3 dB (120 dBA). THD line inputs improved by 8 dB.
• Full SteadyClock FS as in ADI-2 Pro FS for lowest jitter and highest jitter immunity.
• 6 samples less latency on the AD side due to the new ADC (5 samples AD, 7 samples DA. It doesn't get any faster....).
• All of the above improvements were achieved without increasing the power consumption of the interface.
