The MOD series from RockBoard was specially developed to bring order and clarity to the often complex signal routing of an effects board. The MOD modules provide centralized access to all inputs and outputs, eliminating the need for complex wiring under the board. With the RockBoard MOD 4, this approach is consistently extended by an integrated wireless system.
The heart of this set is the MOD 4 patchbay module, which can be inserted seamlessly into the slots provided on the RockBoard pedalboards. The connection options are varied and practical: 3 TRS sockets, 3 XLR connections (2 male, 1 female) and an AC IEC input are available. All inputs and outputs are mirrored so that each connection is routed from the front to the rear - ideal for permanently connecting effects under the board.
The integrated patchbay makes the setup extremely efficient: simply connect the instrument, amplifier and other peripherals at the front - done. The pedals can remain permanently wired and do not have to be reconnected for every gig or setup.
Another highlight is the integrated XVive U2 wireless system, which operates in the globally usable 2.4 GHz ISM band. It offers a full frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, an extremely low latency of just 5 ms and impresses with a stable connection and natural sound. This makes the system perfect for live performances, rehearsals or recordings - without annoying cables and with the usual sound quality.
Power is supplied via a 9-volt power supply unit (not included), with a current requirement of 500 mA. With a weight of just 0.5 kg and compact dimensions of 17.5 × 8.5 × 4.7 cm, the MOD 4 fits comfortably into any compatible board and takes up hardly any space.
