Streamer X - Video capture card and audio interface

With the 15 cm wide and 380 g heavy Streamer X, you get a professional video capture card and a high-end audio interface combined in one device. It is conveniently operated via two potentiometers, two buttons, four SMART pads and two bank change buttons for triggering sounds and other functions.

The Streamer X offers up to 4K/30 recording, 4K/60 passthrough and supports VRR (Variable Refresh Rate). Two independent USB-C ports allow a true dual PC setup. The built-in audio interface has inputs for microphone (XLR) or electric guitar (jack) or for a headset (3.5 mm TRRS, CTIA assignment).

A wireless receiver is also built in: from a RØDE Wireless ME, Wireless GO II or Wireless PRO transmitter module or Interview PRO handheld transmitter you can radio directly into the Streamer X. There is a 6.35 mm headphone socket on the back of the Streamer X, where the microphone signal is output latency-free (direct monitoring).

The ultra-low-noise high-gain preamp (up to 76 dB preamplification) delivers a crystal-clear audio signal - even with insensitive, dynamic speaker microphones. The 48 V phantom power can be switched on for condenser microphones.

Thanks to the integrated DSP, the microphone signal can also be enhanced with a high-pass filter, de-esser, noise gate, compressor, EQ and Aphex exciter, as well as arranged in the stereo panorama (Pan L/R). The desired DSP settings can be made using the free RØDE Central configuration software. Once made, the selected settings are retained in the Streamer X.

On the hardware side, the Streamer X has two large switching potentiometers, two MUTE pads and four programmable SMART pads with two bank change buttons. The left-hand potentiometer is used to set the pre-amplification (control) and the desired audio source (pushbutton). The right-hand potentiometer is used to set the headphone volume (control) and to mute the headphones (pushbutton). The two MUTE pads below the rotary controls allow you to switch the audio source (left pad) or video source (right pad) on/off.

The four programmable SMART pads on the right are used to trigger sounds, voice FX (reverb, echo, megaphone, robot, disguise and pitch shifter), MIDI commands and other functions, while the two bank change buttons below them allow access to four additional commands. The SMART Pads can be assigned their own audio files via the RØDE Central software, and the Streamer X provides 2 GB of internal memory for this purpose.

A 3/8" thread is embedded in the base so that the Streamer X can also be attached to a tripod or microphone arm if required. The scope of delivery includes a USB power supply unit, an IEC power cable and a certified Hi-Speed USB cable (2 m).
