The Muffin fits perfectly on all standard 14-inch drum sizes and effectively reduces overtones, unwanted sustain, and excess sound—for a controlled, focused sound.

Whether in the studio, on stage, or while practicing in acoustically sensitive environments—the Mr. Muff Muffin delivers a clean, well-rounded sound with a soft attack and precise tonal response in a matter of seconds. With no gluing, clamping, or residue, your drumhead stays protected—and your sound stays under control.

Rohema—Craftsmanship for Modern Drummers

For over 130 years, Rohema has stood for quality and innovation in the field of percussion instruments and accessories. This long-established German manufacturer combines decades of expertise with the modern demands of everyday musical performance—just as with the Mr. Muff Muffins series, which was developed in close collaboration with drummers.

With a clear focus on sound control and versatility, Rohema offers a product that is not only practical but also delivers impressive sound quality. The damping rings from the Mr. Muff series are the perfect tool for anyone who wants to flexibly adapt their drums to the respective playing situation without constantly adjusting the hardware.

Technical Details of the Rohema Mr. Muff Muffins 14''

The damping ring consists of a high-quality wool felt ring that is placed on the drumhead and stays securely in place thanks to its own weight and the cotton cloth used. The 14-inch size makes it ideal for all standard snare drums as well as many toms and cymbals.

The soft yet sturdy material provides pleasant sound dampening without damaging the head or restricting the playing surface. The ring can be put on or taken off in just a few seconds—without any additional fasteners. Especially practical: All Mr. Muff Muffins are stackable, allowing you to customize the level of dampening. For example, you can stack two Muffins on top of each other to create a particularly dry, percussive sound.

The combination of felt and cotton cloth produces a pleasantly soft, warm sound that blends perfectly into acoustic or minimalist-style setups. At the same time, articulation is preserved—a decisive advantage over conventional damping solutions.

Why the Rohema Mr. Muff Muffins 14'' is a particularly worthwhile investment

The Mr. Muff Muffins 14'' damping ring offers a quick, effective, and visually appealing way to professionally control your drum sound—whether in the studio, on stage, or in the rehearsal room. Thanks to its simple handling, stackable design, and durable material, it becomes a reliable part of your drum kit.

Compared to gels, tapes, or improvised cloths, the Muffin is cleaner, more flexible, and more consistent in sound. It can be applied, removed, or adjusted at any time without leaving residue or affecting the drum’s appearance. This makes it the perfect choice for modern drummers who want to shape their sound flexibly and stylishly.
