Technical Details of the Roy Benson PT-101S Bb Pocket Trumpet

The trumpet’s bell is made of durable brass and delivers a full, clear tone with good projection. The mouthpiece is made of gold brass —a material known for its warm tonal qualities and high corrosion resistance. This ensures the instrument remains durable and maintains a consistent tone, even with regular use.

Inside, stainless steel valves with top-mounted springs ensure a smooth, precise response. The cross-pattern valve layout provides reliable mechanics with consistent action—essential for fast passages and precise intonation. A thumb ring on the third valve slide allows for comfortable intonation adjustments and improves playing ergonomics.

Two water keys provide additional convenience, allowing condensation to be removed quickly and easily. The silver plating not only gives the instrument an elegant appearance but also enhances its clear, brilliant tone.

Compact Design – Big Sound

Weighing only about 0.95 kg, the PT-101S is exceptionally lightweight and can be transported effortlessly. Despite its compact size, its sound is virtually on par with that of conventional trumpets. The tightly coiled tubing allows for a space-saving design without compromising sound quality—ideal for musicians who travel frequently or are looking for a space-saving instrument for practice.

The trumpet comes with a mouthpiece and is packaged in a lightweight yet sturdy rectangular case with a backpack strap set. The case provides optimal protection for the instrument and makes transport particularly convenient—whether on the way to rehearsal, to music school, or while traveling.
