The Schecter Reaper 7 Multiscale Charcoal Burst electric guitar is a modern high-performance instrument for guitarists who don't want to compromise on sound or handling. The body of the Reaper 7 Multiscale is made of lightweight, resonance-friendly Swamp Ash and features an eye-catching grained poplar top. The Satin Charcoal Burst finish gives the instrument a striking look reminiscent of boutique guitars at custom store level. But this guitar doesn't just look impressive - it sounds impressive too. The combination of swamp ash and poplar ensures a balanced, open sound with present highs and powerful low mids.
A highlight of the construction is the five-piece maple/walnut neck, which is made in the Ultra Thin C profile. This extremely slim neck profile enables lightning-fast runs and complex chord changes with minimal effort. Thanks to the set-neck construction with Ultra Access neck transition, even the highest fret can be reached effortlessly - ideal for solos across the entire fingerboard.
The multiscale scale from 25.5" to 27" (648 mm - 685.8 mm) ensures optimum intonation, string tension and playing comfort - especially with low-tuned 7-string setups. The lower strings benefit from a longer scale length, resulting in a clearer tone and tighter response, while the higher strings remain easy to play on a shorter scale length. This construction supports precise djent riffing as well as expressive leads.
When it comes to electronics, Schecter relies on two Diamond Decimator humbuckers, which were specially developed for modern genres. They deliver a powerful, aggressive sound with defined bass, brilliant highs and a rich mid-range. Whether high-gain riffs, clean passages or complex effect sounds - the Reaper 7 Multiscale offers enormous tonal flexibility.
The Hipshot Hardtail (.125) bridge with string-thru-body design ensures excellent vibration transmission and tuning stability. The proprietary Schecter tuners work reliably and precisely - even under the toughest conditions. The combination of black and chrome hardware rounds off the modern look while offering long-lasting performance on any stage.
The guitar is factory-fitted with a set of Ernie Ball 7-string strings(.009 - .062), which are perfectly matched to the instrument. A matching case (SCSGR-1C) is available separately as an option - ideal for safe transportation to rehearsals, the studio or on tour.
