The Schecter Vintage PT Fastback Gloss Black electric guitar is part of Schecter's Retro/Vintage series, which combines classic designs with modern features. This guitar is aimed at musicians who are looking for the authentic vibe of traditional electric guitars but don't want to compromise on contemporary playability and sound quality. With its high-gloss black finish, classic singlecut body and tried-and-tested components, it is an elegant choice for versatile use in the studio or on stage.
The PT Fastback is based on an alder body, which is known for its balanced sound character. It provides a solid foundation for clear trebles, balanced mids and a tight bass range. The bolt-on maple neck ensures a direct response and supports the bright sound. The maple fingerboard gives the guitar additional brilliance and clarity - ideal for precise chord playing and articulate leads.
Thanks to the Thin C neck profile, the guitar sits comfortably in the hand and allows fast, effortless playing across the entire fingerboard. With a scale length of 25.5" (648 mm) and 22 X-jumbo frets, it offers optimum conditions for dynamic playing, from classic riffs to modern licks. The nut width of 42 mm offers sufficient space without appearing too wide - ideal for a wide variety of playing techniques.
The PT Fastback is equipped with two Schecter Diamond UltraTron pickups. These pickups deliver a transparent, characterful sound with a hint of vintage twang, without losing any of their assertiveness. The bridge pickup is ideal for crunchy rhythm parts with bite, while the neck pickup delivers warm, full sounds for blues, rock or clean passages.
The combination of alder body, maple neck and UltraTron pickups makes the PT Fastback a flexible instrument that feels at home in many musical styles. From rockabilly and blues to indie and classic rock, it covers a broad spectrum - with character, bite and clarity in every note.
The guitar is equipped with a stable Diamond Hardtail bridge, which ensures clean intonation and a firm hold on the strings. Grover tuners ensure precise tuning and high tuning stability - even with frequent string pulling or temperature changes. The chrome-plated hardware stylishly rounds off the classic appearance and at the same time ensures robust suitability for everyday use.
The guitar is factory-fitted with a set of Ernie Ball Regular Slinky (.010-.046). This string gauge offers a balanced compromise between flexibility and tension feel - ideal for players who want to cover both rhythm and lead parts.
