The "New Way" is aimed at all those who want to successfully learn to play the keyboard in methodically thought-out lessons based on popular songs and useful tips through lessons or self-study: beginners of all ages, but also e.g. wind players, singers or guitarists who want to become musical "insiders" and are looking for an introduction to improvisation, composition, harmony etc. through keyboard playing. Especially on the keyboard, with its clear, regular keyboard structure, scales, chords and harmonic connections can be demonstrated more clearly and systematically than on any other instrument. Musicians with previous knowledge can start with volume 2 or 3.
New keys and chords, learned on popular pieces of music, maintain motivation for further learning. Training in improvisation and composition continues with the inclusion of simple song form. Making the two hands play more and more independently of each other is one of the main objectives of this volume. Indeed, the keyboard player cannot limit himself to playing with the automatic accompaniment. A certain knowledge of the most common musical styles in pop and jazz music is important and is taught here. Harmonies as played by the keyboard player - enriched chords that cannot be played with the automatic accompaniment - are the topic.
