The Sela Kalimba 21 maple has a solid maple body. This light-colored wood with a beautiful grain is one of the most popular tonewoods and is also frequently used in drums and guitars. Due to its hardness, maple produces a clear, defined tone with an accentuated treble. The Sela Kalimba 21 maple has fine cut-outs on the side edges for particularly pleasant handling.

The notes of the Sela Kalimba 21 maple are all on the C major scale and range from the note F3 to E6. Sela kalimbas with 21 reeds therefore reach four notes lower than the models with 17 reeds. As all tones fit together harmoniously, even beginners can compose exciting melodies with this instrument in no time at all and accompany or play along with songs written in C major. Due to the higher number of reeds, the playing possibilities are even greater than with the 17-reed kalimbas.

The Sela Kalimba 21 Maple comes with a high-quality bag with carrying strap and padding to effectively protect the instrument from damage during storage and transportation. A microfiber cloth for cleaning the kalimba and a tuning hammer are also included. The latter is required if you want to retune the instrument.
