The Sennheiser EW-DP 835 SET (Q1-6) is a high-performance, portable UHF wireless microphone system designed specifically for demanding video productions, interviews, reports, and presentations. With professional audio quality, a reliable wireless connection in the UHF TV band, and innovative features, this set is a true game-changer for filmmakers, content creators, and journalists.

The system includes the EW-DP EK single-channel digital receiver, the rugged SKM-S handheld transmitter with MMD 835 microphone head (cardioid polar pattern), a versatile mounting kit, and a long-lasting lithium-ion battery. It operates in the 470.2–526 MHz (Q1–6) frequency range—perfect for professional applications requiring reliable signal transmission and wide switching bandwidth.

UHF radio technology for maximum reliability

Unlike 2.4 GHz systems, the EW-DP 835 set offers significantly more stable transmission in the proven UHF TV frequency band. This means: less interference, greater range, and higher transmission reliability—even in complex environments such as urban locations or when multiple radio systems are in use simultaneously.

The switching bandwidth of up to 56 MHz allows for flexible frequency selection, so that free transmission channels can be found quickly. This makes the system ideal for professional multi-channel setups and mobile productions.

Outstanding sound quality – without gain adjustment

With a unique input dynamic range of 134 dB, the EW-DP is the first system in its class that requires absolutely no gain adjustment on the transmitter. Sound is captured without distortion, rich in detail, and realistic —whether it’s soft speech or loud ambient noise. Especially practical for interviews and news reports: just turn it on and get started right away without having to change any settings.

The latency of just 1.9 ms ensures virtually delay-free signal transmission—ideal for synchronous audio recording with video or live broadcasts.

Intuitive operation and magnetic mounting system

The included mounting plate allows for easy attachment of the receiver either via screws to the camera or via the accessory shoe. The receiver snaps magnetically into place on the mounting plate in seconds—tool-free and absolutely secure.

Another highlight: the precise battery indicator. The operating time is displayed down to the minute, so you always stay on top of things—even during long shoots. The Li-ion batteries are rechargeable, replaceable, and exceptionally durable—ideal for professional continuous use.

MMD 835 Microphone Module – Assertive and Focused

The included MMD 835 microphone module is a dynamic cardioid microphone designed specifically for use in loud environments. It selectively highlights the voice and suppresses lateral background noise—ideal for on-camera interviews or when close to an audience.

With a maximum sound pressure level of 154 dB SPL, it remains completely distortion-free even in loud environments. The sensitivity of 2.1 mV/Pa ensures clean and assertive voice transmission—clear and natural at all times.
