The Lyra-8 experimental analog drone/ambient synthesizer, shown here in the black "Black Beast" variant, treads some paths that were previously only open to artists who who either had the skill to realize their own creations or who had the financial means to assemble many different components into a set, which can now be covered by a single device. device can now cover.

The basic idea behind the Lyra 8 is that the synthesizer can generate tones and waveforms away from the chromatic scale, making it very intuitive. The total of 8 oscillators - called "Voices" - promise an incredible depth of sound, whereby for each individual voice both the waveform (square-triangle) and the exact pitch can be individually selected via potentiometer for each voice. The structure of the sound synthesis is based on an organic, tree-like structure. The overall picture is rounded off by 3 highly efficient, subtle to extremely adjustable effects - a 2-voice LFO, a delay modulated with chorus/vibrato and a heavy distortion with a freely adjustable dry mix pot.
